2.5.5. Bulk-Deploying Osiris

*By creating a template configuration file, you can bulk deploy Osiris 2 across your editing workstations. Once the config is in place, you can manually copy it to your Media Composer workstations or utilize a device management solution such as JamF. The shared storage must appear under the same name and path on all your editing workstations!

1. Install and configure on one of your workstations.
2. Close Osiris (This will save the configuration file).
2. Go to the Osiris configuration file location:

/MacOS harddisk/Users/Shared/Preferences/osiris2/config"

3. Copy the file “osiris.json” to shared storage, a USB device, or a device management tool.
4. “Install Osiris on another editing workstation.
5. Close Osiris.
6. Copy or deploy the previously created configuration file from its current location to:

/MacOS harddisk/Users/Shared/Preferences/osiris2/config"

7. Start Osiris to check the proper configuration.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 on all of your editing workstations.
