Primary Production Server
The Strawberry server is hosting the Strawberry services & the database. Additionally, it can perform 24/7 proxy encoding.
- 48 GB RAM
- 16 CPU cores with at least 2.4 GHz (Intel Xeon / AMD Opteron or Epyc)
- 2× 500GB SSD (mirrored)
- A dedicated connection to the storage and a dedicated network connection to the client network (10gbit Ethernet or comparable)
- RHEL 7 or Centos 7, 64bit
Proxy Encoding Node
A proxy encoding node is a dedicated server for 24/7 proxy file creation. The Strawberry core server can control and load balance multiple proxy encoding nodes at once.
- 24 GB RAM
- 16 CPU cores with at least 2.4 GHz (Intel Xeon / AMD Opteron or Epyc)
- 2× 500GB SSD (mirrored)
- A fast connection between the proxy encoding node and the store storage (10Gbit Ethernet or comparable)
- An adequate connection between the View encoder node and the Strawberry server for metadata traffic (1Gbit Ethernet)
- RHEL 7 or Centos 7, 64bit
High Availability Server
- The High Availability (HA) server must have the exact same hardware and software properties as the primary Strawberry server
