About
Gallery managers can request approval for assets within Galleries that they manage. An approval request will initiate an approval workflow, that enables Approvers to set the asset approval status to Approved or Needs Revision.
Requirements
- The Galleries feature is part of Strawberry’s Communications System add-on. The add-on must be activated on your system in order to use this feature.
- To be able to request approval of a Gallery asset you must be a manager of that Gallery
- To be able to request approval of a Gallery asset, at least one member of the Gallery must be an Approver
Usage
Approval can be requested in various ways.
1.REQUESTING APPROVAL FROM AN ASSET’S ANNOTATION VIEW
1. Click on the Gallery assets for which you want to request approval.
2. Once inside the annotation view, click on the REQUEST APPROVAL button that is located in the upper-right of the Interface.
An approval request will now be sent to the approvers of the Gallery in which this asset is located.
2.REQUESTING APPROVAL FROM AN ASSET’S APPROVAL WIDGET
1. Navigate to the Gallery and folder in which the asset for which you want to request approval is located.
2. Click on the REQUEST APPROVAL below the thumbnail to start the approval process.
2.REQUESTING APPROVAL FROM AN ASSET’S OR A FOLDER’S CONTEXT MENU
You may request approval for all assets within a folder by right-clicking on the folder and start the approval process from there.
1. Right-click on the Gallery folder for which you want to request approval.
2. Click on the REQUEST APPROVAL entry in the context menu.
3. The approval process will start right away. If the asset is “private”, meaning not released yet, you will be requested to release the asset in accordance with the Gallery’s auto-release settings.
