Introduction

Unlocking an edit will forcibly unmount any projects currently mounted by this edit and free up the license seat it consumes. Users should save any progress in their editing/creative applications before the unlock operation gets initiated by the Admin.

Usage (Manual Unlock)

  1. Log into the Administration panel and click on the ACCESS tab.
  2. Click on the MANAGE EDITS bar to expand it.
  3. Check the box next to the edit you wish to unlock.
  4. Click on the UNLOCK EDIT button below the edit list and confirm.

Usage (Auto-Unlock)

Strawberry allows you to specify the time after which an edit should be auto-unlocked. An edit is eligible for unlocking if it has at least one mounted project and the user has not been active for the specified number of hours (e.g., a computer is asleep or the client was closed without prior user logout).

  1. Log into the Administration panel and click on the ACCESS tab.
  2. Click on the MANAGE EDITS bar to expand it.
  3. Below the list of edits is a setting named Auto-unlock edit threshold (hours):.
  4. Specify the number of hours after which an edit should be unlocked and press Save.
